Admission requirements

  • Completion of (at least) a 3-year undergraduate degree program, or equivalent from a recognised university with a major in computing or information technology or completion of Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management or equivalent
  • Required proficiency in English. IELTS overall band score 6.0 with no band less than 5.5

Program Overview & Objectives

The Master of Information Technology Management Studies is designed specifically for those with a background in IT or computing who aspire to be IT managers, and require an understanding of the strategic management of IT resources within IT departments and organisations.

On completion of this program you should be able to:

  • plan, manage and develop the organisational use and uptake of information technology;
  • contribute at a professional level in the application of information technology to
    support business organisations;
  • manage the impact of technology in organisations;
  • recognise threats and opportunities of technology in business; and
  • use a range of effective communication strategies.

Career Opportunities

Graduates could expect to work in any area of industry, commerce or government, in ICT strategic management or project management roles.

Program Structure

The program is 1.5 years full-time and consists of 12 courses providing theoretical and practical skills in information technology management. You may be eligible to exit the program after the successful completion of the first two semesters and be awarded the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology Management.
