Program Overview & Objectives
The Master of Information Technology is a coursework degree that will introduce you to advanced theoretical and practical concepts. There is an in-depth approach to programming, project management skills and software engineering. This program has been designed specifically for graduates with undergraduate degrees in areas other than computing or information technology.
Successful completion of this program will give you the foundation, knowledge and skills to:
- Program, design and implement complex computer systems
- Be aware of the latest developments in IT
- Be familiar with project management principles and techniques
- Analyse, design and implement software systems, including functional, relational and
object-oriented methodologies - Understand the theoretical basis of Information Technology
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate an awareness of ethical and social issues associated with IT
