This qualification reflects the job roles of workers in the accounting industry, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It includes preparing and lodging business and installment activity statements and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.

Entry Requirements

This qualification has no pre - requisite. Prior to enrolling into the program, each student is informed about admissions, prerequisite and English language requirements. This information includes that students:
  • Must be minimum 18 years old
  • Have satisfactory completed Australian year 12 or overseas equivalent school qualifications;
  • Have adequate core skills of being able to learn, read, write, research, use technology, work in teams and count as these skills are embedded n the study of this program.
