A wide range of prescribed textbooks and other academic reading materials are available in the Library. The Library holds at least 4 copies of the latest edition of each prescribed textbook. The latest edition prescribed textbooks are available only as reference books for use in the Library room. However, a limited number of the latest edition prescribed textbooks are available for overnight loan and must be returned within 24 hours. Students are expected to purchase their own prescribed textbooks.

We also have subscriptions to relevant print magazines such as The Economist, Fortune, and Harvard Business Review along with the daily newspapers: Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, and Financial Review.

IELTS books are also available in the Library to support our international students.

Loans
  • As an IIBIT student and staff, your ID card is your library card and you must have a current card.
  • Students are not allowed to borrow books using another student’s card. As it is a breach of IIBIT policy, the ID cards will be confiscated.
  • Students are allowed to borrow only 2 reading materials including IELTS material at a time for a maximum period of 2 weeks. Please note that prescribed textbooks will only be available for use within the Library. However, older or earlier editions of the same textbook titles are available for borrowing.

Hold Requests

Students may reserve a library book if it has already been borrowed. The book will be given to the first student on the reserved list. The item will be held for 2 days, after which it will be allocated to the next person on the reserved list and you will need to make a new reservation.

Late Fee

A late fee of $1.00 per day will be incurred to your account after the due date (Saturday & Sunday inclusive).
